HOW DOES EMBROIDERY WORK IN THE XXI CENTURY?

FROM DESIGN, THROUGH THE STITCH, TO EMBROIDERY.

The embroidery worker has to put clothing in the hoop. When whole set is ready, he has to just switch on the machine and the device does an embroidery automatically. We have to remember, that although the pattern is the same, we need different embroidery program for any type of fabric. Embroidery on fleece will have more stitches than on the polo fabric. On T-shirts there will be the least stitches. It happens, because heavier fabric isn’t as susceptible to needle damage as it is with a lower weight. For example, the embroidery program that has been prepared for fleece, will makes holes on T-shirts.

THE EMBROIDERY – PROS AND CONS.
Like any marking method, same the embroidery has its pros and cons. The biggest advantages are definitely its strength, washing resistance and nobleness. There is no print that is so resistant for damage like embroidery. Sometimes, for a smaller quantity embroidery is also more profitable. Once prepared embroidery program we can use an infinite number of times. In screen print, we have to prepare the screens. Because durability of chemical reagents has its limits, we can keep them for maximum two weeks. Other thing is preparation of one screen for only one color costs the same as the average embroidery program.

But, there is no rose without thorns. We can’t embroider very small, detailed objects. The letter, depends on the fabric, must have minimum from 4mm to 6mm height. Another thing is that the pattern won’t have so many colors as print, especially DTG. The third main disadvantage is, that embroidery isn’t suitable for all types of fabric – especially with small weight.
